Aranda\Lasch, New York architects, designed this years tent interior. Abandoning the typical trade show floor plan, the architects created a miniature city on a 'scatter' pattern. The floor plan gives Design Miami a level of interactiveness that was immediately apparent. At the Vernissage last night, this was even more apparent. The boundaries were blurred between the attendees and the design galleries, where the glamourati where just as much design as the designs were. Co-founder of Design Miami Craig Robins has been successful in his goal of merging design, culture, and commerce in this years show.
